Why a valuation matters

When did you last check the value of your jewellery?

Most insurance cover gaps happen quietly. A valuation carried out a few years ago can fall out of step with the current cost of replacement, particularly for diamonds and gold, where global prices can shift more than most people expect. If a claim ever needs to be made, that gap is the difference between being properly covered and being left short.

We recommend checking any piece with a diamond over a carat every three years, and reviewing the rest of your collection regularly alongside it.

Our valuations are carried out by qualified gemmologists and registered valuers, working from our own in-house laboratory. We are members of the Institute of Registered Valuers, the country's leading body for jewellery valuation, so every figure we give you is grounded in expertise training and current market knowledge, not guesswork.

A personal process, not a form

We look at your jewellery with you, not just at it.

Every valuation starts with a conversation. We want to know the story behind the piece: how it came to you, what it means, and what you need the valuation for, whether that is insurance, probate, or simply peace of mind. Each item is examined in detail, with any stone reports or paperwork you hold factored in, before we write up a full, formal record for your insurer.

Valuation Event Days

By appointment, while you wait.

Once a month, we hold Valuation Event Days for anyone who would rather not leave their jewellery with us. Book a slot, bring your pieces in, and one of our valuers will assess them with you there and then, with your written valuation to follow shortly after.

Spaces are limited, so we would always recommend booking ahead.
